“Squeaky WheelGets The Grease”I bought an AMD machine some half year ago and it’s the loudest computer I’ve ever had to put up with. I’ve taken the computer back to the computer shop where I bought it couple times and got new CPU fans. So I did it again because the fan was making a vibrating noise. But this time, the shop owner decided to replace it with brand name CPU fan instead of cheap five-buck fan. The nice Chinese fella said, “I’m tire of replacing fans, so I’ll just put the expensive one.” So I brought home Thermaltake Volcano 7, and it’s the loudest whining noise I’ve ever heard. It sounds like a vacuum cleaner. So, it really didn’t solve my problem, except that I got a cool new CPU fan for free that keeps my computer in cool running.
If I knew the shop owner was going to give me a CPU fan for free, I should have asked for Thermaltake Volcano 11, the newest and the shiniest. But I felt sorry for him. He runs a small business in not so busy place, and all I’ve done was to take stuffs for free.
“Squeaky Wheel Gets The Grease.” Yes, but you don’t always get the kind of grease you want. And sometimes it’s not without feeling sympathy for someone who’s giving the grease.
